About Us

Exquisite Irish Craft Beer, Locally Sourced

Nestled along the serene Grand Canal in the charming village of Sallins, County Kildare—just a stone's throw from Dublin City Centre—the Kildare Brewing Company represents the pinnacle of Irish Craft Beer brewing. Operating from our cosy 1,000L microbrewery, located within the welcoming confines of Lock 13 Brewpub, we are proud to offer a selection of premium beers, each batch brewed with devotion and a touch of local flavour.

Drawing on the purest water from nearby granite lakes and sourcing the finest local malts, our Irish Craft Beer offerings are a testament to the quality that can only be achieved when the natural goodness of hops, yeast, and malt are allowed to truly express themselves. Our small-batch, handcrafted beers are a celebration of flavour and community, embodying the spirit of Irish Craft Beer.

Our Story

How it all began

The journey began in 2016, with a vision to reignite the traditional art of brewing along the historic banks of the Grand Canal. Barry Flanagan, the visionary behind our brewpub (and yes, the dashing gentleman on the left), dreamt of creating Kildare's first-ever brewpub right here at Lock 13, offering authentic Irish Craft Beer. It was more than just about brewing beer; it was about crafting a legacy.

From 2017 to Today

Since our doors swung open in June 2017, Kildare Brewing Company has been at the forefront of the craft beer scene, earning accolades for our distinctive small-batch brews. Our head brewer, with an unwavering commitment to quality, specialises in crafting exceptional ales and lagers that capture the essence of our passion for Irish Craft Beer.
